Website maintenance so the site does not quietly decay.

A launched website is a starting point. Plugins age, content changes, browsers shift, and conversion paths need attention. We provide ongoing maintenance for sites that need more than an occasional emergency call.

This can be a light care plan or a development retainer, depending on how often the site needs to change.

Why businesses use this service

Keep the platform current

CMS, dependency and security updates are applied in a controlled way, with a rollback path when something conflicts.

Small changes without a new project

Content updates, landing pages and minor features can be handled inside an agreed monthly scope.

Improve what you already have

Performance, SEO and conversion work is often cheaper as a series of focused changes than as a full rebuild.

What you receive

  • Scheduled platform updates
  • Bug investigation and fixes
  • Content and layout changes
  • Performance reviews
  • Security updates
  • Monthly summary of work completed

How the work runs

  1. 01

    Agree the level of care

We set a monthly scope: updates only, updates plus content, or a development retainer with planned improvements.

  2. 02

    Work from a backlog

Requests are queued, estimated and shipped in order. You always know what is in progress.

  3. 03

    Review

Analytics and technical health are checked periodically so maintenance is not only reactive.

Technology

Maintenance covers the stack the site is actually on: Next.js, WordPress, Shopify or a mixed setup. We will not pretend every platform has the same update rhythm.

Who it is for

  • Businesses that have launched and need a reliable partner afterwards
  • Teams without a developer on staff
  • Owners who have been let down by an agency that disappeared after go-live
  • Companies planning a series of improvements rather than a rebuild

Serving businesses across the South West

Questions about this service

How much website maintenance do we need?
A brochure site may only need updates, backups and occasional content changes. A CMS or store usually needs a more regular rhythm. We will recommend a level after seeing the site, not a one-size package.
Can you take over a site built by someone else?
Yes, after an audit. We need access, a sense of the codebase quality, and a list of known issues before we can quote a retainer fairly.
Does maintenance include new features?
Small features can sit inside a retainer. Larger pieces of work are scoped separately so the care plan does not get quietly consumed.
