There is no honest fixed price for a business website in the UK. A five-page site with existing copy is a different job from a redesign with new positioning, photography direction, integrations and a CMS.
Cost usually moves with five things: how clear the offer is before design starts, how many templates the site needs, whether content already exists, what has to connect to the site, and who will maintain it afterwards.
If you collect quotes without a brief, you will get a spread that looks like a market and is actually a spread of assumptions. Write down the pages you need, the action you want visitors to take, and whether you need strategy as well as production. The conversation gets shorter.
For most South West SMEs, the useful question is not the cheapest build. It is whether the site can be found, understood and updated without starting again in two years.
If you are briefing a project in the South West, you may also want web design, website development or a conversation about the brief.
